What You’ll Need
- iPhone running iOS 17 or later
- Symetri installed and subscription active
- At least one before photo and one after photo for your first patient
Step 1 — Set Up Your Clinic Branding (One Time)
Before creating your first case, spend two minutes setting up your brand. This information appears on every export automatically.- Tap the Settings tab (gear icon, bottom right).
- Under Clinic Branding, tap Upload Logo and select your clinic logo from your Photos library.
- Tap Instagram Handle and enter your handle (e.g.
@yourclinic). - Leave the other settings at their defaults for now — you can refine them later.
Step 2 — Create a Case
- Tap the Cases tab (bottom left).
- Tap the + button (top right).
- Enter the patient name or a reference ID — this is for your reference only and is never exported.
- Select the Treatment Type that matches the area being treated:

- Forehead — brow lifting, forehead smoothing, Botox
- Eyes — under-eye, tear trough, upper lid
- Lips — lip filler, lip flip
- Side Profile — rhinoplasty, jawline, neck

- Your photo library opens — select the before photo.
- Tap the After panel on the right.
- Select the after photo.

- Tap Manual Align to nudge the position by hand.

Quick Tips for Your First Week
Consistency is everything
Consistency is everything
Alignment works best when your before and after photos match in angle, distance, and lighting. Even perfect AI alignment can’t fully compensate for a photo taken from a different position.
Use Presentation Mode for consultations
Use Presentation Mode for consultations
In Slider view, tap the TV icon (top right) to go full-screen. Mirror to an iPad or Apple TV so the patient sees the comparison on a larger screen while you control the slider on your phone.
Batch export saves time
Batch export saves time
Once you have multiple cases, select them all from the Cases list and batch export. All exports use your saved template and branding automatically.
Save photos before deleting the app

Symetri stores everything locally on your device. Deleting the app deletes all cases permanently. Export important cases to your Photos library regularly.
